“I’ve got a lot of dark jokes for someone who looks like she owns a muffin shop,” says Katie Hannigan, a standup comedian who has made a career out of defying expectations. Hannigan is one of three comedians performing at the Schorr Family Firehouse Stage on Saturday, November 5, at 7pm, in one of four “Ladies of Laughter” events Goodwill Theatre is offering in its 2016-2017 season.
Hannigan will be joined by comedians Jocelyn Chia and Stacy Kendro for the performance, which is part of the Schorr Family Firehouse Stage’s “Big Apple Comedy Club” Series, sponsored by IBM and Visions Federal Credit Union, and underwritten by the Schorr Family. “Ladies of Laughter” features winners and finalists from Turning Stone Casino’s annual competition.
“Ladies of Laughter is such a popular program,” said Naima Kradjian, CEO of Goodwill Theatre, Inc. “Everyone loves to laugh, and these comedians are always a treat.”
