Sterling, VA—Binghamton native Mike O’Connell, 33, will return to the Binghamton area for a concert at the Goodwill Theatre in Johnson City, 46-48 Willow Street, on Monday, August 17. O’Connell, a graduate of Binghamton High School and Binghamton University, is a jazz musician now living in Sterling, Virginia, a suburb of Washington, D.C. O’Connell will lead his quartet in an evening of jazz standards and original compositions, recording the event for what will be his second live album and fifth full-length album overall. Several of O’Connell’s original compositions will also be recorded at the theatre at a closed-door session earlier in the day for future release on iTunes and amazon.com.
