Schorr Family Firehouse Stage presents interactive Children’s Show “Beauty and the Beast”
Johnson City – The Goodwill Theatre will present “Beauty and the Beast” on Saturday, March 24, at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm at the Schorr Family Firehouse Stage. Based on the classic fairy tale, Duffle Bag Theatre takes a new and hilarious approach the story telling in this one-hour show. This will be the third show for the Goodwill Theatre’s 2011-2012 Story Time Theatre Series, sponsored by Senator Libous’ BOOKS Program, in partnership with Morrisville State College, and Bates-Troy Quality Dry Cleaners.

The dream of living a fairy take actually does come true with DuffleBag Theatre’s refreshing and hilarious fairy tale adaptations featuring audience participation. Audience members are spontaneously invited on stage to play the main parts while the audience helps them on with chorus prompts. Everyone participates! Accompanied by Duffle Bags witty narration these performances deliver hilarity and spontaneity.

“We love presenting versions of favorite children’s books because they are professionally acted and beautifully performed as well as being clever with loads of energy,” says Goodwill Theatre CEO Naima Kradjian. “We schedule these one-hour shows at convenient times before and after lunch, so the family can enjoy the show and the rest of the day together. This is a great introduction to the magic of theatre.”

DuffleBag Theatre began performing at the London International Children’s Festival in London, Ontario, Canada. Now based in Toronto, Dufflebag performs over 600 shows a year across Canada, The US and internationally. For more information please http://www.dufflebag.com.
