NYC LADIES OF LAUGHTER
Featuring the best talent from the NYC Ladies of Laughter contest, this is standup comedy at its finest!
Saturday, April 7 at 7 PM
Comedians on stage:
Erica Spera, a Ladies of Laughter Finalist and Binghamton native!
Along with major headliner, Karen Rontowski.
Karen Rontowski’s fast-paced, quirky and charmingly optimistic comedy has been featured in clubs, TV, radio, and at corporate events all around the world. Her stand-up showcases endearing, self-effacing and intelligent characters that catch you by surprise every time. She uniquely blends comedy with her experience as a Paranormal Investigator, Tarot and reikimaster.
She is fascinated with the “afterlife” and convinced she will someday have a near-death experience because “I never finish anything.”
Karen has appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman, Sirius Satellite Radio, Comics Unleashed, Comedy.com, Live at Gotham, Comedy Central and Mysteries of the Unexplained. You can see her new special called “Ridiculous Me” on VidAngel.com.
After performing and hosting at paranormal conventions all over the world she created the hilariously odd web series, Paranormal Karen, where she has fun reporting from haunted and obscure places everywhere.
Karen’s comedy is now featured in the new line of greeting cards called “Frank and Funny” sold at Target stores everywhere and is the comedy writer for “Haunted Magazine.” She is a regular on the Bob and Tom Radio Show and is a featured performer on their CD.
When she isn’t having dinner with her ridiculously large family, you can find Erica performing nightly all over the big apple; doing stand up comedy clubs such as Gotham, The Stand, New York Comedy Club, and Caroline’s. Spera was recently named a 2017 TBS Comics to Watch as part of the NY Comedy Festival. You may have seen her on TLC’s Cake Boss, Gotham Comedy Live! on AXSTV, or have heard her podcast 20 Minutes of Fire.
This production contains adult subject matter and is meant for adults 18 years and older.
This program is generously underwritten by the Schorr Family.
